It's been six months since I started Papyrus Rampant! Thank you to all my 130+ loyal subscribers, thank you to all my readers, and thank you to all my commenters. It's been great to see a response - you're the ones who keep me coming back to write new posts here week after week.
And with that incentive, I've found it's even more fun than I thought to keep writing. When I was first designing this blog, I knew I'd have things to say on "story, history, and theory of story" - but I didn't realize how fun it'd be to keep saying it.
Please, if you have anything to say, comment here! This’s an open thread for anything about this blog or the topics I write about. I'm happy to keep talking, and I’d love to hear from you!
I’m looking forward to the next six months here, and longer. Currently, my plans for the near future include:
I know I told one of you last fall that I'd write a post about why I think fantasy novels are useful. That took a lot longer than I expected; I'm sorry about that. But, I've just completed that post; it’s planned to come out soon.
My sister "Windward" (whom you may remember from my two posts on the story of our childhood stuffed animal games) may be writing a guest post here! No commitment as to when.
How do you like the "Short Reviews" series? I'm planning to keep it going at least every other month, but I could make it more frequent if you want?
I've also got multiple other posts written or in progress, including one on historical fiction movies, another on some visions of utopia, and another on the life of Stephen A. Douglas. And, I’ve got even more ideas.

Woooo! Loved the recounting of childhood stuffed-animal games! (not assuming that it'll necess. be on that or anything like that.)
Very amused by the casual comment of, "I'd long since written voting software for the inhabitants of Beanbag City." XD
I'm always up for more reviews. Particularly of history, since I never seem to read as much of it as I would like.
Otherwise keep up the good work I've been enjoying it!
